Real Estate Craziness

Apparently, we live in the most disgusting neighborhood in North America. I've had at least fifteen people tell me as much in the last two weeks.

"Hello! I'm calling about the three bedroom ranch that you have listed for sale?"

"Yes, how can I help you?"

"I was just wondering where it's located. We would like to drive by."

"Were on So-and-so Street in Anytown."

"Oh,(slight pause) So-and-so Street?"

"Yes. Are you familiar with Anytown? Would you like directions?"

"No, we don't want to live in that section of Anytown. It's not very nice there."

I can see now why people pay realtors. I don't know if my fragile ego can take much more of this rejection, lol!

I have lived in a beautiful house that was i am told in a bad neighborhood and paid next to nothing for rent. I miss that big old house. but yes location and perception drive oh so many things.

Just trust in the Lord to sell your house at just the right time to just the right people. My hubby and I were given the opportunity to buy my brother's house. We were living in a single wide mobile home at the time that still had a mortgage on it. We needed to pay off that mortgage, and thus priced the mobile home accordingly. Some people thought it was too high and told us so, but it was fairly unique for a mobile home. Anyhoo, I tried not to worry too much and at just the right time, we got our buyers! Not only did they pay cash which was great for paying off our mortgage, but it reduced paperwork, lawyer fees, AND they let us stay there until we could move out! Isn't God good!? Now, I have to trust in Him similarly concerning the selling of my Ford Taurus that still have a loan on it, and buying a GMC Jimmy or Envoy instead.
